In 1979
The sire photos on this page represent genetic lines we have used
through the years. In 1996, we reluctantly left the purebred industry
but returned in 1998. We purchased gilts from Stein & Stewart
in 1999, and also chose to use frozen semen enabling us to tap into
some “old line” genetics. We obtained the semen for 12 different
boars from SGI, & IBS. Of the 12 boars, we chose three that we
felt surfaced to the top. Those boars were ‘Express”, Clydesdale”
and WLB9 “Rebel” 16-1. In 2003, we began to focus more on
meat quality. We raised a boar named “Ice T-Man” 4-13. He is
rated one of the top meat quality boars in the breed and was named
“Super Sire” at the 2006 National Barrow Show.
